GameBattles Is Down, But For The Greater Good

As you may have noticed the stats block on the left has died, but after investigation it seems that GameBattles is down for a while due to various upgrades. While writing this it would appear that they have the template sorted and I must say from the point of view it looks pretty dang snazzy and much easier to use.

While a fresh look has been long overdue, we are confident that our more robust, feature-rich redesign will not only do more to expedite and facilitate competition, but will also help promote fair gameplay and showcase many of the community elements which have played a key role in our exponential success.

Also, there is now a bomberman pack released that came out today valued at 250 points which offers quite a lot of new stuff. Below is a summary supplied by Anthony Barker over at 360Monster.com.

Ten New Characters – With new characters like “Little Bomby Foo Foo” the bunny and “Rocky Bomboa” the boxer, players can customize their in-game Bomberman in countless new ways.

Two Additional Levels – New arenas include “High Stakes,” a Las Vegas-style casino level that allows players to select any gimmick they want, and “Zeppelin,” a level set aboard a dirigible which features tornado environmental hazards that incapacitate players.

One New Game Mode – “Frag” mode will allow players to pre-set the number of enemies they must bomb in order to win the game.

Two New Leaderboards – Dominate the competition on two new ranking systems on the Xbox LIVEĀ® network. The new leaderboards will track performance on both a weekly and an all-time basis for the new “Zeppelin” map.
