New CoD4 Maps Inbound

Activision announced today that Infinity Ward is beginning to work on an array of new Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare maps for console users that promises to “thrust gamers into a hot zone of added combat across a variety of intense multiplayer locales.”

Infinity Ward’s Community Manager, Robert Bowling said:

“We’ve demonstrated our commitment to delivering the best multiplayer experience in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and that continues with our plans for new downloadable content, we’re excited about the new maps, and the added gameplay variety, and we can’t wait to wrap things up and get online with everyone.”

With map creation tools now available to the public maybe some of the top submissions will warrent a transfer to our systems or maybe we will get something totally new, who knows.

The new downloadable content is scheduled for release this spring, and will be available on Xbox LIVE® and PlayStation Network.
