Rainbow 6 is one of Ubisoft’s most successful series of games and even though the latest releases have been a slight disappointment a sequel was always bound to happen.
After speaking with someone working at Ubisoft it has come to my attention that the next installment is coming much sooner than we were lead to believe
Bungie recently announced that they will be releasing an additional map pack which is scheduled to be released at the end of this month. The ‘Mythic’ map pack, currently has only 1 confirmed map, called Assembly a Covenant themed map similar to that of Midship in Halo 2, that offered a hands-on experience for gamers attending PAX
With Rockband only recently being released in Europe Harmonix have wasted no time in following up their success with a sequel. If you have only just sprung for the full band equipment, fear not, as it has been confirmed that all the instruments will be operational with both games. The new instruments that will be released will simply have a facelift and tweaks to the appearance
The Call of Duty 4 content now has a confirmed date which has been finalised as: *drum roll* April 3rd 2008! It has been given the title ‘Variety Map Pack’, will contain 4 new maps and will cost 800MS points
Time to throw on your velvet gangsta clothes and hop in your pimp mobile as you tear up the streets on GTA online. The latest issue of ‘PlayStation Revista Oficial’, the Spanish version of the Official PlayStation Magazine, has released the first set of information on the online multiplayer modes of Grand Theft Auto IV. They stated that there will be 15 multiplayer modes, ranging from co-op to deathmatch. Although this refers to Playstation, I figure 360 will get the same stuff
The days are counting down fast now and it won’t be long until the Rainbow series add another addition to their family; Rainbow Six: Vegas 2.
For many, this is exciting news and no doubt the die-hard Rainbow Six fans will be queuing around shop corners to pick a copy of this up at midnight. To add further to this excitement though, Ubisoft have been kind enough to release a sample build of the opening mission! It looks very impressive
Rockband developers Harmonix have delayed the UK released date once more, this time pushing it back until roughly the 15th of May 2008. Although there is currently no official reason stated through their website I would speculate that the reason is due to the reported poor quality of the instruments provided. We can only hope that this problem will be fixed before the UK release. I guess the dream of starting your own rockband will remain a dream if not only for a few months
Anyone who has played Portal will agree it is a marmite game, you either love it or you hate it. I personally love it and was really glad to hear that the developers do too and will be creating a sequel to this amazing puzzle game
After witnessing a multiplayer match of Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 for the 360 I was happy to see that they had worked off the previous games style and simply made additions that have proved popular in other FPS games that followed the original. Below I have listed a bunch of the features that I think will make the biggest difference to the gameplay
