With the BAFTA’s having just past some of you may have already had your fill of movie goodness, but if you are like me it has just spurred you and got you in the mood for some movie quizzing. The content is very reasonably priced coming in at 560 points, which is less than a question per point!
Even though Valve have been a little slack in introducing job updates and map patches to the Xbox 360 of the game, compared to their adamant efforts to please the PC games, it is good to know they haven’t completely forgotten us. In the coming month the remaining Xbox Live users who still own Orange Box will be able to download some much needed class updates. Although I haven’t had much time to tinker around, it is already apparant that there have been some upgrades and overhauls from the previous system
Today Valve Software will be releasing a playable demo of Left 4 Dead on both PC and Xbox 360 platforms worldwide. All Xbox 360 users should be able to download the demo from the marketplace from 10 a.m. GMT ( 2 a.m. PST ). It makes a nice change that it will not only be America that are getting this offer, but instead a worldwide release.
With the release of the new call of duty coming ever closer, Activision have moved to publicly release the Beta, adding to the previously running private beta. You can now download your copy from the Marketplace and get shooting
Activision have, over the past few days, been releasing a number of BETA keys for their upcoming game, CoD5. Their first release was through the popular gaming news website EuroGamer, releasing thousands of keys which were pretty much gone within the hour (making the website crash numerous times). If you weren’t lucky enough to get one there, don’t worry there is still hope
Game.co.uk are currently offering a Call of Duty 5 beta to anyone and everyone who preorders the game from their website. The beta is planned to be shipped off to everyone on October 14th, a month before the game is released
Bungie recently announced that they will be releasing an additional map pack which is scheduled to be released at the end of this month. The ‘Mythic’ map pack, currently has only 1 confirmed map, called Assembly a Covenant themed map similar to that of Midship in Halo 2, that offered a hands-on experience for gamers attending PAX
Although GameVee has been around for a while it has not yet been mass marketed and it has, over the past few months, been down for work, BETA testing and malfunctions. In a nutshell this website allows you to upload your Halo 3 file share videos to the internet without you having to record it from the TV, uploading, etc. Basically cutting out the middle man and saving you some money
Even though Halo 3 may have taken over Call Of Duty 4 as the most played Xbox Live title, Infinity Ward has not given up! Infinity Ward are planning to add an additional 4 game modes. Although there is currently no set date yet as to when these new playlists will go online, but I imagine it won’t be too long now
