The stimulus pack is now available! Costing 1200 points from the Xbox Live Marketplace you get an additional 5 maps, with 2 old favourites ( Crash and Overgrown ) from CoD4. Activision announced that there will also be an update coming hand in hand with this pack that everyone will get when they sign in during the next couple of days
The new Call of Duty 5 map pack, the second pack that has been released so far, was released today at the price of 800 points. There is currently no plan to reduce the price of the previous pack to get some more sold off but it doesn’t hurt to remain hopeful. The new pack comes with 5 new maps, 4 adversarial and 1 zombie map, and 250 points worth of zombie related achievements
With the release of the new call of duty coming ever closer, Activision have moved to publicly release the Beta, adding to the previously running private beta. You can now download your copy from the Marketplace and get shooting
Activision have, over the past few days, been releasing a number of BETA keys for their upcoming game, CoD5. Their first release was through the popular gaming news website EuroGamer, releasing thousands of keys which were pretty much gone within the hour (making the website crash numerous times). If you weren’t lucky enough to get one there, don’t worry there is still hope
Even though Halo 3 may have taken over Call Of Duty 4 as the most played Xbox Live title, Infinity Ward has not given up! Infinity Ward are planning to add an additional 4 game modes. Although there is currently no set date yet as to when these new playlists will go online, but I imagine it won’t be too long now
The Call of Duty 4 content now has a confirmed date which has been finalised as: *drum roll* April 3rd 2008! It has been given the title ‘Variety Map Pack’, will contain 4 new maps and will cost 800MS points

Although there is still not confirmed released date for this update it is scheduled for sometime this month. First off, there will not be three new maps as originally stated, but four. The four maps will be BROADCAST, CREEK, KILL HOUSE (No relation to Vegas) and
Activision announced today that Infinity Ward is beginning to work on an array of new Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare maps for console users that promises to “thrust gamers into a hot zone of added combat across a variety of intense multiplayer locales.”
Although there is not a confirmed date for this update it is scheduled to take place in December and it looks like it will be a good one. Many simple bugs have been fixed as well as some rather interesting editions that are definatly worth a read through. The best feature, in my opinion, is that a game will no longer crash out if a host leaves, it will simply return people to a lobby and select a new host from the remaining players.
